Welcome back and Happy New Year!!

2014 BYB Challenge

I’m dedicating 2014 to be the year of personal connections and an abundance of champagne moments for everyone!  My resolution is to call my friends more often and connect less via e-mail.  In fact, on a walk with a friend yesterday I predicted that in the next little while we are going to see a trend of moving away from devices and social media back to phone calls and personal interactions...at least I hope!!

A challenge that I’m throwing out to all BYB clients this year is to actually take stock of your mini and big champagne moments!  Whether these moments occur personally or professionally I encourage you write them down and put them in the 2014 BYB Champagne Moments jar or actually take pictures and put them in a special file, it doesn’t matter.  Just set the intention to capture it!  Then at the end of the year I encourage you to throw a dinner to share these moments with those close to you.  Feel free to pass on the challenge to your family and your teams!!

A 2013 Personal Champagne Moment

As many of you already know Rik and I had the absolute delight of taking our two oldest nieces Francesca & Sofia to Europe in November.  This is something I’d dreamt of doing since the girls were born.  I personally love Europe and in the past few years have learnt just how accessible travel, meeting new people and discovering new places can be.  I really wanted to share this learning with the girls and encourage them to dream big, huge, massive dreams with no geographical limitations to their pursuits.   It might not have rubbed off just yet but hopefully they will look back and remember how easily they conversed in a foreign language, learned how to navigate public transportation and most importantly develop a huge respect for the people who have come before us that have shaped the world we live in today.
