Hello Carolyn,
Happy September! I'm not sure about you but I feel as though the summer just flew by. Truthfully I'm not ready for it to be over...how about you?
My summer was full of family, trips to the dump, reading, learning and exploring. While in Edmonton I took my kids to Fort Edmonton and the Indigenous People's Experience. This trip coincided beautifully with a little study group I've started to complete the Indigenous Canada course offered complimentary by the U of A. It's not too late to join...see the details below. It's something I've been wanting to do for a while and having the accountability helps deepen the learning and discussion. I have to say the course is very well done.
And not to forget ALL about business, I started to dive into our next book club read: The Heart of Business - Leadership Principles for the Next Era of Capitalism. I'm always interested to see how an author can bring together a story with the words heart and business in it. Question...how's your heart feeling about your business right now? "It's been a year" for many business owners. But with this external disruption comes opportunity. Join us to learn how Best Buy found its competitive mojo when everyone was expecting them to fail.
Finally, you and your team are invited for our monthly lunch and learn. The topic is Emotional Intelligence. How do you respond under pressure? Come learn the different components key to effective emotional intelligence. The good news about emotional intelligence is that it's adaptable. Due to the neuroplasticity of the brain, we can all strengthen our emotional intelligence and all learn how to respond better under pressure.
What about you? What were a few of your summer's "best moments?" What did you learn? What are you excited for this fall? Drop me a note! I hope to run into you soon!
Wishing you all the best!
Carolyn
P.S. Don't forget that all of these events are complimentary and are open to you and your team to join us. We truly value connecting with our community and learning together!
