As we close out another year, I invite you to pause—really pause—and take stock of what you’ve built in 2025. The wins/outcomes you achieved. The challenges that stretched you. The opportunities waiting for you to claim them in 2026.
Ask yourself: •What’s been an unexpected win? Something that, despite your great planning, surprised you and for which you are thankful? • What was the gift or the learning that one of your biggest challenges brought you? How have you grown from it? • What are some outcomes you are looking to achieve in 2026? Where do you want to add value to your business?
And ultimately: What does Going Beyond Your Best look like for your Leadership, Teams, and Business?
2025 will go down as a challenging year for many, including many of our clients. Those challenges are still very present. Yet I do not doubt that, with collective wisdom, resilience, and creativity, all will be navigated successfully. When we move through it, what will remain is the clarity, capability, and confidence that was built along the way. It’s seasons like these that shape leaders, sharpen strategy, and prepare businesses for their next level of success.

A win that we are especially proud of in 2025 is the launch of our podcast Beyond Your Best—a podcast designed to inspire courageous conversations, conscious leadership, and better business. Thank you to our clients, mentors, and associate coaches for sharing with us your lived experiences and nuggets of wisdom.
Some of the nuggets that continue to inform our work:
-
Getting it right is more important than being right - Wayne Holm
-
Are we truly agreed on what problem we are trying to solve? - Alison Caldwell Johnson, Associate Coach - Better Your Best
-
Always have your house (your business-sales-ready) in order - Mark Stephenson, Business Transition Forum
-
Leadership isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about striving for clarity - Dorothy Bootle, Oxygen 8.

A foundation near and dear to our hearts, Carolyn and her family participated in the 19th Annual SHLF run. The SHLF foundation - in partnership with Vancouver's Streetfront - is an alternative education program with an emphasis on physical activity and outdoor experiences. Its tag line is: we run because we can. It teaches kids that showing up is 80% of the work.
